The Church has always done exceptional work when it’s on the fringes of society. Thank you for leaning into that. I’m hopeful that “outsider” voices (like yours) are growing. I really enjoyed this & am continually grateful to hear a different perspective on these aspects of the Bible. The connections you are making are new to me and make so much sense when we consider what people were experiencing with Jesus & around Jesus. The information about what Jesus was encouraging the fishermen to step away from so they could step into more important, more meaningful work in this world was really interesting to me. Thank you for taking the time to dig in to all of this & share it - I’m here for it!
