Book Release Day is Here!
My latest book, "Cross-Examined: Reading the Bible in Times of Division" is out now!
Hi, Faith Re:Imaginers! I just wanted to share a short post today to announce some exciting news! My newest book, Cross-Examined: Reading the Bible in Times of Division, is out today!
A couple notes about the book:
While the shortest in length, I actually think that this is the most important book I’ve written to date, because it deals with five of the central conversations that are happening in the church right now: The weaponization of the Bible, Gender Equality, LGBTQ+ Inclusion, White Christian Nationalism, and Racism. Many of us inherited ways of seeing and interpreting the Bible that take each of these issues for granted, but that shouldn’t be the case. The Bible is full of surprises, especially when we thoughtfully and seriously engage it.
I learned today that the physical copies of the book are shipping on a delay. They should arrive this week, but you might get an email from your bookseller asking if you still want to order it. I’d love for you to say “yes” to that question. 😊
If you ordered the e-book, it is available today!
Here’s a link to a FREE Discussion Guide.
Be on the lookout for an upcoming giveaway that will be announced soon!
If you haven’t ordered yet here are few options for doing so:
Amazon
Barnes and Noble
Ghostlight Books (This is a local shop in Columbia, Tennessee that is fully affirming, and a great option if you are trying to avoid the bigger sellers)
Finally, if you are reading or leading a conversation in a group, I’d love to join you virtually for a time of Q+R, if that would be helpful to you. Send an email and we can make it happen!
Thanks so much, friends! I am so grateful that I get to do what I do, and for your support that helps make it happen!
Congrats! Excited to get a copy. All of these are such important topics for progressive Christians!
